Many of these yads have sold so please message and we will design your yad.
The yads are created from a single rod of clear glass. I shape the rod in a torch that reaches 2400 degrees. While working with the molten rod, I infuse colored glass. The yad is taken out of the flame and allowed to slightly cool. I then put the yad back into the flame and restrike it, allowing more colors to come out in the process. The hand has to be delicately and quickly formed to insure that it keeps its shape and the glass doesn't crack. The type of glass I use is borosilicate. This is the same type of glass that is used in the making of Pyrex. It takes a very high heat to melt, the result of which is a very strong glass.
